SHOWING SERVICE POLICY

(Policies & Guidelines)

1. Overview

ShowMate is a platform designed to connect licensed real estate professionals (“Requesting Agents”) with licensed real estate professionals (“Showing Agents”) for property showings, inspection attendance, and related support services.

 

By using ShowMate, all users agree to comply with this policy.

2. Agent Eligibility

All agents must:

  • Hold an active real estate license

  • Be in good standing with their brokerage

  • Provide accurate and truthful information

We reserve the right to verify licensing at any time.​

3. Booking Requirements

Requesting Agents must provide:

​

  • Accurate property address

  • Appointment date and time

  • Access instructions

  • Client details as necessary for service fulfillment

  • Any special instructions relevant to the appointment

Failure to provide accurate information may result in cancellation or service delays.​​​​​

4. Scope of Service

Showing Agents are responsible for:

​

  • Attending the scheduled showing

  • Providing professional access to the property

  • Answering general property questions without misrepresentation

  • Respecting the client and property at all times

​

Showing Agents are not responsible for:​

  • Negotiations

  • Contracts

  • Representation agreements

5. Payment Policy

​​

  • Payment is due at the time of booking or upon confirmation

  • Fees are set per showing and may vary based on urgency or add-ons

  • Showing Agents are compensated after successful completion of the showing​​​​​

6. Cancellation Policy

By Requesting Agent:​​

​

  • Cancellations must be made at least 1 hours in advance

  • Late cancellations may result in a cancellation fee​​​​​

By Showing Agent:

​

  • Must notify immediately if unable to attend

  • Repeated cancellations may result in removal from the platform​​

7. Professional Conduct

All agents must:

​

  • Arrive on time

  • Dress appropriately​​

  • Communicate respectfully

  • Follow all local real estate laws and MLS rules

  • Respect client confidentiality

  • Respect the property and occupants

Failure to maintain professional standards may result in account suspension or removal.

8. Liability Disclaimer

All information shared through ShowMate, including client details, property information, and appointment instructions, must remain confidential and used solely for the purpose of fulfilling the assignment.

​Unauthorized sharing of confidential information is prohibited.

9. Ratings and Accountability

Agents may be reviewed based on:

​

  • Professionalism

  • Timeliness

  • Communication

  • Service quality

​

ShowMate reserves the right to remove users based on repeated negative performance or policy violations.

10. Video and Reporting Add-On Policy

If a video walkthrough or written report is requested:

​

  • Showing Agents must provide accurate and professional documentation

  • Content must not be misleading

  • Delivery must be completed within the agreed timeframe

11. Compliance Responsibility

Each user is solely responsible for compliance with:

​

  • Real estate licensing laws

  • Brokerage policies

  • MLS rules

  • Local property access requirements

12. Policy Modifications

ShowMate reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updated policies
